Fulfilled Prohecy

I see the fullfillment of Jesus' words as I read this passage. Here I am half way around the globe, living in a different culture reading about a Jewish womam pouring perfume on Jewish man prior to His crucifixion 2000 years after the fact. Jesus spoke the truth, He is the truth, the way and the life. Know Him!

Why Don't We Drill for Our Own Oil

Maybe I am a little ignorant and unlearned, but I have a hard time understanding why we do not drill for own oil in Alaska and offshore as well. Why does some of those in power insist on keeping the United States dependent on foriegn oil? There is a mystery here and I am afraid of what the answer may be.

What is Your Goal in Life?

Oswald Chambers points out the most important goal to have in life, that is to live a life that is well pleasing to our creator. The only way we can do that is believing is His only begotten Son who died for our sins and arose from the grave so that we could have a right relationship with our Heavenly Father.

What leaps out at me from today's excerpt from "My Utmost for His Highest" is that believers should live the message of Christ. Believe it or not that is what I taught in bible study last night. The Woods

I took a walk today
Through beautiful woods that filtered golden strands of the evening sun producing a golden haze on the towering wooden giants that stood as sentries guarding the sanctuary of the forest
These woods, old familiar friend of mine, still inspire a sense of wonder and awe at the beauty of God's creation and the gift given to me of enjoying this sacred place

McDonalds 10 piece McNuggett Meal/Deal

While driving up the road from work I heard the advertisement on the radio, "10 McNuggetts for $1.99". The ad hit its target, I was hooked. So after my karate class, I was on my way to Wendys when I saw the "Golden Arches" and the McNugget ad ran through my brain again. I pulled in and got me a McNugget Value meal with 10 McNuggetts, fries and a drink. Yum. Though it was not the healthiest choice, it was a tasty choice.

The Woods-Proloque

The sound wafted through the night on the wings of the wind. The cries of the lost souls who had sold their souls in a bloody ritual at the ancient spring in the woods. Sitting on his porch, Stan heard the eerie cries and realized that it was starting all over again, this time he would have to finish it once and for all. It almost seemed as if the woods were calling out is name.

Chapter 1

" Bring the chosen ones forward, it is time."

The shacked settlers were brought out into the open and placed in the center of the gathering. The time had come for the sacrifice, a human sacrifice to the angel of the woods.

Tired

I am tired
Mine eyes are getting heavy
Feeling the weight of the day's levy
The tax of another day on this orb we call earth
Can you feel me?

Giving Ourselves to Whom We Belong

As we get ready for church and put on our best clothes, best Christian manners, and our Jesus mask, may we be reminded that we are called to so much more than a Sunday morning extravagamza of fine suits, Sunday dresses, and parading around like we are the holiest of the holy; we are called to present ourselves daily to God as a living sacrifice. That is so much more than our standard religious activity.

Good Morals are Not an Accident

Good morals, and a vibrant relationship with Christ does not happen by accident, it is something that believers must put some effort into. We are not saved by our own efforts, but by the grace of God, but it takes effort on our part to live up to the life we have been called to live.
